From what I have learned Authority is the GROUND of a person to give out orders, commands.. to be respected and followed. That's not the specific meaning, but I guess you know what I'm trying to say.
Authority. Does AGE have to matter? Does being young necessarily mean you have to follow the word of the older norm? To follow them for what they stand for? What about what the younger norm stands for? Will it be ignored just because of a simple thing such as AGE that people constantly TRY and CONNECT with Authority.
Authority. Who deserves authority. Leaders? The Just? The Intelligent? I think we ALL deserve a bit of authority, an authority for OUR personal space, an AUTHORITY for our own THINGS and for what we stand for. Will we allow this authority to be over ruled by someone else, with the simple reason such as AGE? hah! I would never back down because of something as simple as AGE. AGE matters, but NOT everytime.
If authority would be defined by AGE, then why not let the elders of our country lead us? Since they are superior in AGE, they might also excel in intelligence. Who knows. Confused? That's what your logic suggests. To let those who are older gain AUTHORITY when the youth should be left in shackles, bound to follow the insight of the elderly.
Authority is POWER. and POWER isn't AUTOMATICALLY given to PEOPLE, POWER is GAINED.
Just like any other human being, the youth-- I shall prove that I am WORTH this authority. this power. To gain it.
