It's a once in a life time experience like being circumcised or losing your virginity. Or having your first molar ripped out of your oral cavities. It's the once in a life time experience girls get to experience and hopefully enjoy, the 18th Birthday commonly termed the Debut.
I was invited by my friend of 3 months to her debut and I am glad to say that I enjoyed with a great deal of confidence and satisfaction. It was so nice, though as you can see in the picture above I'm the only one who went there in a more formal attire (the theme was yellow, so I wore my yellow oak long sleeved shirt with my white old navy vest along with black shoes and black pants) and I'm glad I wasn't the only one who brought a gift either. That would have been awk~ward.
Somewhat I feel like I've become one of the girls. e__e Something that's not uncommon to me since I used to share a bedroom with twin sisters but yeah, I have guy friends too but lately I seem to be more close to girls than I am with guys. Haha! I'm not gay though... At least I don't think I am. I'm not attracted to guys anyways, never. ...Ack.
The night was spent at Max's Restaurant's Reservation Hall. The opening prayer was led by yours truly followed by the eighteen roses(which I was part of) and the 18 candles(which I wasn't part of) and a full course dinner (appetizers, main course and puny desserts).
The next part of the night was the after party, which I enjoyed truly. We spent the night until 1:00 am in the bar called Pure Note where we rented a karaoke room and started singing our tone-deaf butts off. Haha!
I got home by 1:35 and even though my parents did tell me not to walk up the hill back home, I still did. I prayed and I wasn't afraid.
Overall, this whole night was fantastic and I loved it. I got to meet new people and saw different sides to my College Friends that I never saw or expected in them at all. I am waiting for another invitation now, I want to go to another party. raaa.
